Very rare Georgian minature verge pair cased Tortishell watch. Made by John Barton of Manchester c 1750. He is listed as a maker of cylinder watches from 1746, he died in 1770 . The dial is in good condition apart from a small chip above the centre that has been filled. The watch is much smaller than usual Watch diameter 42mms, dial 30mms. Working order.
