This fine pair cased Tortishell watch has a genuine cylinder movement numbered 6325 made around 1746 by the great George Graham.The watch is numbered 6325, and a watch by him no. 6180 is dated 1745 and another No. 6480 is hallmarked 1750 thus giving a date for the watch around 1746. The contemporary inner and outer case are in good condition . The later dial probably dating from around 1790 is in good condition a few scuffs and light scratches but sound. The hands are fine steel beetle and poker design. The watch even after over 250 years still works well. The finely worked cock has a diamond balance stone, a sign of very fine quality.
