Very fine Victorian mother-of-pearl inlaid rosewood marine stick barometer c 1850 made by the fine Scientific Instrument maker Francis Walker of London. The barometer has a bone scale with rack and pinion pointer system with with a brass and bone set knob. The barometer case has a slightly bowed front, a sign of quality, and is in excellent condition, there is tiny piece of the inlay missing, it retains its original cistern cover, with a later brass gimbal. There is a hanging bracket with it so that the Gimbal does not have to be used. The barometer is 36 inches long and is in good working order.
